The challenge

Nowadays, more and more people get themself an electric car. These cars need to be charged from time to time. However, in our experience, it is not always as easy to find a charging spot than it seems. Imagine being in a rural area, somewhere far away from a city or highway. Even though you still need to drive lots of kilometers, it can be hard to find a spot where you can charge your car. Nevertheless, since so many people own an ecar, there are definitely enough people with a charging system at home, which could be close.

The solution

We thought that it would be a good idea to connect all these individual charging spots at home with an app. This way, there is always one available nearby. The idea is in essence as follows: those who have an ecar, and thus a charger at home, should register these in our app. They will offer their charger to individuals nearby, who will pay a fee for every time they charge their car at their place. You could compare this idea a bit to for instance AirBnb, where you can rent out something you already own, but don’t use all the time.
