At-home diagnostic test kits ( self-testing kits) create a considerable amount of plastic and general waste every day worldwide. As per the market study, the at-home test diagnostic market will be increasing by 3.4% to 6.8% by 2028. So it is safe to assume that plastic waste is also going to increase greatly. Other problems with these at-home test kits are one-time use, some tests take more time (7-14 days), and some of these tests cost 150 to 200 Euros.
